Type of position: research position
Name: Hibatallah MELIANI
Description: I am seeking a research internship, preferably for around three months, where I can contribute to projects in evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence, and autonomous systems while expanding my research experience. I am particularly interested in applying genetic and evolutionary algorithms to challenging real-world problems such as robotics, path planning, optimization, and intelligent agents in virtual environments. Through this internship, I hope to collaborate with experienced researchers, develop innovative solutions, and gain practical experience that complements my Ph.D. research while contributing to impactful scientific outcomes.
Short CV: I am a Ph.D. candidate researching Digital Transformation through Interactive Autonomous Agents in 3D Virtual Worlds, with a focus on evolutionary computation, robotics, and intelligent autonomous systems. My research has resulted in publications at leading venues, including an accepted poster at GECCO 2026 titled NEAT-NC: NEAT-Guided Navigation Cells for Robot Path Planning, and a published IEEE Access paper, TempGA: A Temperature-Inspired Adaptive Genetic Algorithm for Solving 7DOF Inverse Kinematics Problems. I am seeking an internship to further develop my research in evolutionary algorithms and AI while contributing to cutting-edge projects in the field.
